Hydra

The newest iteration of the Wright Cadet chassis, the “Hydra”. Built from the ground up, a thorough redesign to be a natural partner to the K1D-M tyre, used in the Iame Inter and Iame Restricted Categories, and the Mojo C2 tyre used in the Micro/Mini Max category. This has been achieved through: refined steering geometry, a modified frame shape and material to maximise flexibility in the desired areas, a new 950mm wheelbase and finely tuned driver/engine weight distribution and positioning.

The hydra chassis has been developed over many months, utilising the feedback from race winning drivers, experienced technicians/engineers and cutting edge data loggers. We have been able to develop what we believe to be the most complete Cadet chassis we have ever produced. The “Hydra” is an ideal chassis for both club and Championship level drivers. The standard “Hydra” chassis for the Iame Restricted/Inter, and Micro/Mini Max classes, and a left hand drive version (Hydra Pro) which is specifically designed for Honda engines (Cadet Pro class) and their unique weight distribution in mind.

The Wright Hydra is the first of the Wright chassis to utilise the all new “Hydra brake” system. An “in house” built, all new, super lightweight, powerful, durable, braking unit. The Brake system has been made to be used in all Cadet and Cadet Inter classes.
